Overview of the Role
Abu Dhabi is pushing hard on water security and sustainability, and there is a high-demand opening for a Senior Project Manager to lead the development of new sustainable desalination plants. This isn't your standard construction job; it's about managing massive, complex infrastructure that balances high output with environmental responsibility. Job Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this level of responsibility, candidates need a very specific set of skills and a proven track record in the Middle East. Here is what the hiring teams are looking for:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- Certifications: PMP or equivalent professional project management certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: At least 12 to 15 years of experience in heavy infrastructure, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focusing on Reverse Osmosis (RO) or thermal desalination technologies.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of sustainable energy integration, water quality standards, and Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements (like ADWEA or DoE standards).
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams including MEP engineers, HSE managers, and site supervisors.
